A high-performance, low-power Microchip digital potentiometer, globally known as MCP4131 (commonly MCP4131-103E/P for the 10kΩ version), housed in a breadboard-friendly 8-pin DIP (Through-Hole) package. Featuring a 7-bit resistor network resolution with 129 steps, this single-channel digital pot is controlled via a standard SPI serial interface. With an operating voltage of 1.8V to 5.5V and extremely low static current, it replaces traditional mechanical potentiometers in precise calibration applications. It is an essential component for automated calibration, volume control, op-amp gain adjustment, sensor trimming, and advanced microcontroller-based prototyping.
