This breakout plate converts your standard parallel LCD (which normally requires up to 16 pins) into a smart 2-wire I2C device (SDA & SCL), saving valuable I/O pins on your microcontroller. Driven by the PCF8574 IC, it features an onboard potentiometer for easy contrast adjustment and a jumper to enable or disable the backlight.
