An industry-standard, high-speed Low-Power Schottky TTL integrated circuit containing four independent 2-input NOR gates, globally known as 74LS02 (or 7402), housed in a breadboard-friendly 14-pin DIP (Through-Hole) package. Each gate performs the Boolean function Y = /(A + B), producing a high digital logic output only when both inputs are logically low. Known as a "Universal Gate" because combinations of NOR gates can be used to synthesize any other logic gate function, it is highly reliable and fully compatible with standard TTL devices and microcontrollers. It is a fundamental educational and commercial component for digital logic design laboratories, hardware minimization exercises, and control logic systems.
